Jesus In The Garden
by
Graham Braddock

Jesus In The Garden

The greatest struggle ever, took place in a garden. The tension can be felt in the trees, the grass, the heavens. Would God, who had become man, finally give Himself as a sacrifice for us? Jesus’ victory prayer was, Not my will but Yours be done! This is a prayer that we can dare to echo.

Look closely and you will find the disciples sleeping. Beyond, Judas approaches, heading up an armed band.

For me, there is a great longing to be one who will watch and pray, rather than sleep in times of crisis.
