This Spirit came upon Otniel, Gideon, Sampson, David, Joshua. The Spirit empowered these divinely appointed leaders and acted through them to accomplish the Lord’s saving act. The same HS who enabled these delivers to do exploits and fulfill the Lord’s plans and purposes is at work today. He desires to move upon His people and He is looking for consecrated men & woman whom He can empower with His Spirit of Might to free those in bondage to the evil one. Zec_4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Eph_3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? (Deuteronomy 3:24) The Spirit of Might is in the LORD GOD's right hand, which does His Works. There is no other god in heaven or in earth that can do the mighty works of the LORD GOD. This is Why I painted the hand – forceful and strong.
Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. (1 Chronicles 29:11-12 AV) The Spirit of Might have the power to make greatness and give strength to whom the LORD GOD Wills. And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee? (2 Chr 20:6)
There is nothing able to withstand the power and might of the LORD GOD's right hand. The Spirit of Might rules all kingdoms, including those kingdoms of the heathen. The Model in the painting is a warrior. Empowered by God to rule over this dominion. In her hands she have the SOWRD – The Word. (2Co_10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, mighty in God to pull down strongholds.) Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. (Psalms 20:6 AV)

If we got into an extreme human rut, and were unable to know, understand, or wisely complete the Work the LORD GOD has asked us, we would seek the Spirit of Counsel. When the LORD GOD's Spirit of Counsel is given to us, we would receive advice and instruction inside ourselves to help us determine the direction necessary to become spiritually connected again with the Spirits of the LORD GOD.
If we were to ask the LORD GOD for the Spirit of Understanding, while in our natural life human rut, we might receive that Spirit, but be unable to do anything about it because we were traveling in the wrong direction in the first place. That is why it is so critical that a person know the Spirits of the LORD GOD to accomplish His Works, and so special when your relationship is personalized with Him to that degree. I painted the compass to symbolize the direction the Lord points us to travel and the Eagle’s eye to symbolize the Eye of the Lord that is upon His sons and daughters who follow His council.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth forever. (Psalms 111:10)
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, with this gift we are aware of the glory and majesty of God. This gift is described as a fear of separating oneself from God. It is a fear like a child's fear of offending his father, rather than a fear of punishment.
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. (2 Corinthians 7:1)
Holiness is perfected when the LORD GOD is feared. This Spirit ministries to us and helps us to be holy. We can’t produce it ourselves. It’s grace from heaven. There are times that God comes in His presence or Spirit to impart supernatural grace and power so that we can be free of sin. This can only come out of His glory and presence, and it sometimes causes fear, dread, and terror (Ex. 20:18,20) This is why I painted the model naked. Like Adam and Eve were in the garden when they walked with God. There was no sin on them. Nothing. The fear of the Lord brings us into His presence. When we’re in God’s presence, His refiner’s fire burn the sin out of us through the blood of Christ’s Sacrifice on the cross.
The fear of God is clean, and has a cleansing affect upon the child of God, taking us into perfection and holiness before Him, so that we can worship Him in spirit and truth. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. …. (Psalms 19:9-11)
Because God is Love, His glory and majesty radiate His Love like the power of a million suns. God’s Love is the sum total of all existing energy both seen and unseen in the universe, just as the Sun is the source of all physical energy on the earth. Who among people would not fear when standing in the presence of the Almighty Creator of the universe? For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. (Psalms 103:11-14)
True love, and true fear of God, are revealed and experienced through the Holy Spirit. God’s love is the power and motivation to do His commandments, and God’s fear is the ability to understand and walk in His righteous judgments, His commandments, and not our own decisions. Like a protective wall the fear of God keeps us walking on the right path. The joy of a clean heart does not come from our own self it comes from experiencing God’s joy when we walk in His love doing His commandments. “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” (John 15:10-13)

Just because we have God's Wisdom written and inscribed in our hearts does not necessarily mean that we'll understand that Wisdom. This is a whole other step. The Spirit of Understanding is God's supernatural revelation - His secret insights to His Word. Understanding simply means a "putting together" or a comprehending or a grasping of His Word. The Spirit of God illuminates our hearts and gives us understanding of His Wisdom. In other words, He "turns on the lights for us." Understanding is the Key to God’s Wisdom.
How many times have you sat down and read God's Word, gotten up and not remembered a thing you read? Well, God's Spirit of Understanding was not operating.
What good is God's Wisdom (His Word), without our being able to understand it and apply it to our lives? Psalm 119:27 is a good prayer, "Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of Thy wondrous works."
The point is, we must have God's understanding of His Wisdom before we can begin to apply it to our lives and before we can pass it on to others.
As we read God's Word, it's the Spirit of Understanding that will reveal and expose these things so that we can "deal" with them. When we don't read the Word and the Spirit of Understanding is not allowed to operate, then we won't be able to see or find our way. Hosea 4:14 says "...people that do not understand shall fall."
All of us have God's written Wisdom lying in our laps, but many of us, because of busyness, distractions, hurts, unbelief, and other self-centered thoughts and emotions, don't take the time to sit at God's feet, listen and hear what He wants us to say to us. Instead, we depend upon what we think and feel, what others are telling us and what our circumstances are. Consequently, when God allows "trials" in our lives, we don't understand what He requires of us, nor how to act. Thus, we end up falling before we even begin.
"Through Wisdom is a house builded; and by Understanding it is established: [But] by Knowledge shall all the chambers be filled." (Proverbs 24:3-4)
To truly discern is to know the mind and heart of God. To have this heart within you, is a guiding light of wisdom and knowledge that discerns and knows the truth. In this anointing we know of certainty that God is our Father; and that the Bible is his divine voice speaking the word of truth. By this anointing we know that we are aliens and sojourners among a people of unclean hearts and lips. We know that the human voices written or spoken, are more often than not speaking from personal vanity and not from divine revelation. But upon occasion we also discern who is of God and who is seeking his own gain. We know whether a righteous man be sent from God or whether a prophet be sent to us from God carrying an enlightened message from heaven. Those who discern receive a righteous man's reward or a prophet's reward.
The Spirit of Wisdom and the Spirit of Understanding work together. Though their works are similar, each plays a distinct role in the accomplishment of the LORD GOD’s Will. When the Spirit of Wisdom builds a Christian’s house (his ordered, knowledgeable, unwavering and undeniable beliefs built on the foundation of Christ), then the Spirit of Understanding establishes these truths so the presence of the LORD GOD can come to the Christian’s house.
When a Christian is filled with the Spirit of Wisdom and the Spirit of Understanding, he is able to know the Will of the LORD GOD.

Is 59:21 As for Me says the Lord, ‘this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My Words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendents descendents’ says the Lord, from this time and forever.
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
The first function or operation of the Mind of Christ, produced by the Spirit of the Lord in us, is the Spirit of Wisdom. The Spirit of Wisdom is simply all of God's supernatural Thoughts that He has already placed in our hearts at our new birth.
Hebrews 8:10 says that God inscribes or engraves His Word in our hearts. God's Wisdom is His supernatural intelligence-His secret knowledge. This is why I painted the Lock. God's Wisdom is like a hidden "mystery" that can only be revealed by God's Spirit.
God's Wisdom is not a wisdom of the world, because it can't be bought, it can't be studied for, or earned. There are many highly intelligent men who have exhaustive knowledge of the world's wisdom, but are completely ignorant of God's Wisdom, His Thoughts and His Word. Job 32:9 says, "Great men are not always wise:..."
God's Wisdom is the foundation of our lives and the basis upon which the rest of our spiritual "house" will be built. Proverbs 24:3 validates this when it says, "through wisdom a house is built..." So, whether we realize it or not, God's Word (His Wisdom) must be our sustenance, our nourishment, our food, and our life's bread.
This is why I painted the DNA. The foundation of man – the building blocks. "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Only as we allow the Word of God to go down into our innermost part and begin to change and transform our lives, will we ever truly experience what Scripture means when it says, "Thy Words were found, and I did eat them." (Jeremiah 15:16)
So, the entire Bible is God's written Wisdom and it's something I totally believe in and receive into my heart. However, I don't always understand, perceive or grasp some of the Scripture's full meaning. As Proverbs 1:21 says, wisdom is just the entrance to the city (the opening of the gates). In other words, wisdom is just the first step...to understanding...and then to knowledge, etc.

Jesus is given seven Spirits of the LORD GOD. The first is the Spirit of the Lord, which allows Him to receive the six additional Spirits of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge and the Fear of the LORD. These Spirits rest on Jesus completely in their Whole Beings.

The Seven Spirits Series - The Spirit of Knowledge
The LORD GOD gives the Spirit of Knowledge to accomplish His Works.
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:8-9 )
To have knowledge means to have the ability to distinguish good from evil. This is why I painted the girl reading the scroll – Knowledge of God. That knowledge is rooted in the Lord and will give us the power to choose wisely between good and evil (The tree of Knowledge) Wise decisions will also lead to life and not death.
The Spirit of Knowledge and the Spirit of Wisdom are associated closely together, and where one is present, the other is likely to be. The Spirit of Knowledge gives information. The Spirit of Wisdom uses information that has been taken in through the Spirit of Knowledge.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. (Proverbs 9:9-10)
Knowledge is gained through instruction. If knowledge is given to a wise man, he will become wiser. If knowledge is given to a just man, he will increase in learning. The Spirit of Knowledge contributes to a person’s wisdom.
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (2 Peter 1:2-4 ) When a Christian is given knowledge of the LORD GOD and the Lord Jesus Christ, they are partaking of the divine nature of Them. "Through Wisdom is a house builded; and by Understanding it is established: [But] by Knowledge shall all the chambers be filled." (Proverbs 24:3-4)
To truly discern is to know the mind and heart of God. To have this heart within you, is a guiding light of wisdom and knowledge that discerns and knows the truth. In this anointing we know of certainty that God is our Father; and that the Bible is his divine voice speaking the word of truth. By this anointing we know that we are aliens and sojourners among a people of unclean hearts and lips. We know that the human voices written or spoken, are more often than not speaking from personal vanity and not from divine revelation. But upon occasion we also discern who is of God and who is seeking his own gain. We know whether a righteous man be sent from God or whether a prophet be sent to us from God carrying an enlightened message from heaven. Those who discern receive a righteous man's reward or a prophet's reward.
The Spirit of Wisdom and the Spirit of Understanding work together. Though their works are similar, each plays a distinct role in the accomplishment of the LORD GOD’s Will. When the Spirit of Wisdom builds a Christian’s house (his ordered, knowledgeable, unwavering and undeniable beliefs built on the foundation of Christ), then the Spirit of Understanding establishes these truths so the presence of the LORD GOD can come to the Christian’s house.
When a Christian is filled with the Spirit of Wisdom and the Spirit of Understanding, he is able to know the Will of the LORD GOD.

Is 59:21 As for Me says the Lord, ‘this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My Words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendents descendents’ says the Lord, from this time and forever.
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
The first function or operation of the Mind of Christ, produced by the Spirit of the Lord in us, is the Spirit of Wisdom. The Spirit of Wisdom is simply all of God's supernatural Thoughts that He has already placed in our hearts at our new birth.
Hebrews 8:10 says that God inscribes or engraves His Word in our hearts. God's Wisdom is His supernatural intelligence-His secret knowledge. This is why I painted the Lock. God's Wisdom is like a hidden "mystery" that can only be revealed by God's Spirit.
God's Wisdom is not a wisdom of the world, because it can't be bought, it can't be studied for, or earned. There are many highly intelligent men who have exhaustive knowledge of the world's wisdom, but are completely ignorant of God's Wisdom, His Thoughts and His Word. Job 32:9 says, "Great men are not always wise:..."
God's Wisdom is the foundation of our lives and the basis upon which the rest of our spiritual "house" will be built. Proverbs 24:3 validates this when it says, "through wisdom a house is built..." So, whether we realize it or not, God's Word (His Wisdom) must be our sustenance, our nourishment, our food, and our life's bread.
This is why I painted the DNA. The foundation of man – the building blocks. "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Only as we allow the Word of God to go down into our innermost part and begin to change and transform our lives, will we ever truly experience what Scripture means when it says, "Thy Words were found, and I did eat them." (Jeremiah 15:16)
So, the entire Bible is God's written Wisdom and it's something I totally believe in and receive into my heart. However, I don't always understand, perceive or grasp some of the Scripture's full meaning. As Proverbs 1:21 says, wisdom is just the entrance to the city (the opening of the gates). In other words, wisdom is just the first step...to understanding...and then to knowledge, etc.

Jesus is given seven Spirits of the LORD GOD. The first is the Spirit of the Lord, which allows Him to receive the six additional Spirits of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge and the Fear of the LORD. These Spirits rest on Jesus completely in their Whole Beings.

The Seven Spirits Series - The Spirit of Knowledge
The LORD GOD gives the Spirit of Knowledge to accomplish His Works.
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:8-9 )
To have knowledge means to have the ability to distinguish good from evil. This is why I painted the girl reading the scroll – Knowledge of God. That knowledge is rooted in the Lord and will give us the power to choose wisely between good and evil (The tree of Knowledge) Wise decisions will also lead to life and not death.
The Spirit of Knowledge and the Spirit of Wisdom are associated closely together, and where one is present, the other is likely to be. The Spirit of Knowledge gives information. The Spirit of Wisdom uses information that has been taken in through the Spirit of Knowledge.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. (Proverbs 9:9-10)
Knowledge is gained through instruction. If knowledge is given to a wise man, he will become wiser. If knowledge is given to a just man, he will increase in learning. The Spirit of Knowledge contributes to a person’s wisdom.
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (2 Peter 1:2-4 ) When a Christian is given knowledge of the LORD GOD and the Lord Jesus Christ, they are partaking of the divine nature of Them. The Girl is clothed in white – her sins are forgiven through the blood of Christ’s sacrifice and she will dwell in the heavenly garden forever.

Ilse KleynSince my hands could hold a pencil, I started to draw on anything I could find. I am the third generation on my mother's side who shows artistic talent. After high school, I started a career in the South African Police Service as a Police artist, drawing wanted criminals, stolen goods, designing pamphlets, posters, ext. My background as an identikit artist laid the foundation for my exquisite style.
I only started to paint with acrylic late in the 1990's, doing small projects only for family and friends. Soon I discovered the magic of painting in oil and never looked back. After a career of 16 years in the South African Police Service, I pursued my dream and started painting full time in 2006.
I am intrigued with the human form, mind and spirit. I strife to capture the human being's character. To portray the essence of the soul, the human being's frustration, pride, strength, love, wisdom and passion.
My work is evolving in a style of my own, precise, full of detail, rich with color and depth. It is growing as I am growing. It is my passion to paint time-less paintings with a message to all generations. Not just a peace of art to decorate a room.
